About TRIO
TRIO Student Support Services is here to SERVE you! If you are a first-generation college student, completed the FAFSA, or a student with a documented disability through our Accessibility Services office, TRIO Staff welcomes you to your home away from home because we care about you. TRIO SSS is dedicated to helping YOU transfer to a four-year institution. Whether it’s advising, academic support, mentoring, career counseling, tutoring, resume help, or discussing how to transfer the TRIO staff is here to help you succeed. Become part of a great group of students and staff. Let our staff help you navigate the college environment and get to know other SSS students through activities and social gatherings.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Can you use an extra $50 or $1000 toward tuition? There are several scholarships that are only available to SSS/TRIO students. We can help with your financial aid application too.
Tutoring and Study Help
Improve your grades by studying with our professional tutors. They can help you with math, writing, biology, general psychology and more.
Academic Planning
Our TRIO Academic Success Coach can help you plan a class schedule that will accomplish your transfer and career goals. You will even get to register early if you plan with him. We also take students to tour 4-year colleges at no cost!
Career and Personal Counseling
Get help exploring majors and careers. If life becomes challenging talk to our Academic Success Coach for help with personal concerns and get referrals to helpful resources.

TRIO STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Mission Statement
TRIO Student Support Services at Central Arizona College seeks to empower students to persist, graduate, and transfer to university while overcoming class, social, and cultural barriers to higher education.
TRIO students receive services such as personalized and individual advising, faculty and peer mentors, cultural excursions, TRIO exclusive math, reading, and writing tutoring, and much more.
Students are eligible for TRIO Student Support Services if they meet at least ONE of the following qualifications:
- · First-Generation College Student – Neither parent (or guardian) completed a Bachelors/Masters before your 16th birthday.
- ·You qualify under federal financial guidelines. www2.ed.gov
- ·You have a documented disability.
