The Student Success Program is designed to improve student success. Students must be admitted to or in the process of applying to Central Arizona College. Services under the program include:
- Summer Bridge
- Peer Mentoring
- The First-Year Experience
- Peer Mentoring
- Success Skills Course
- Academic Monitoring
- Academic Tutoring
- Technology Supports
- Family Guide to College Success
- University Transfer
Students who meet one or more of the following criteria will be eligible to apply:
- first persons from a family to go to college
- students with financial need
- students with documented special needs
The Central Arizona College Student Success Program is funded by both the TRiO Student Support Services Grant & the Title V Hispanic-Serving Institution Grant.
The TRiO Student Support Services Grant provides opportunities for academic development, assists student with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students towards the successful completion either college education. The goal of TRiO is to increase retention & graduation rates for first generation, low-income and special needs students.
In cooperation with Arizona State University at the Polytechnic Campus, the Title V Hispanic- Serving Intuitions Grant seeks to facilitate the completion of bachelor’s degrees by Central Arizona College students.
