Skills Center

The Skills Center at Central is partnering with Arizona Workforce Connection creating a Comprehensive One-Stop Center for Pinal and Gila Counties.  Working together the college will provide short-term training for students in need of employment who are identified through agencies in the Arizona Workforce Connection, the community, or self-identified.  The Center is the first of its kind in the state of Arizona.

Many of the students at the Skills Center are sponsored by various community agencies throughout the state; however, individual Central students are welcome to apply for any training opportunity.  Financial Aid may cover some of the courses within the short-term trainings.

Specific short-term, employment based training is provided to Central students to better prepare them for the demands of today’s business and industry.  Training opportunities are centered around the core curriculum courses of - Employment Readiness Part I and Part II.  The following are current training categories:

Employment Readiness

Construction Trades & Facilities Maintenance

HealthCare Programs

Office Jobs Trainings
