Coach Tavares will begin his second season as Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach. He was born in Queens NY, and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Parkside. He competed in Cross Country and Track and Field in high school and college. In addition, he is a doctor of chiropractic, and graduated from National Chiropractic College in Illinois. Coach Tavares brings knowledge and experience to Vaquero Cross Country and Track and Field. In nine years as Head Coach at Casa Grande High School, he developed successful Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Dr. Tavares practices Chiropractic part time, and continues to teach science at Casa Grande High. Coach Tavares is married to Lindsay Tavares and lives in Tucson.
