JD Pollock is in his first season as Assistant Coach for the Vaqueros.  Pollock comes to Central Arizona after serving as the Graduate Assistant on the Texas Christian University (TCU) Men’s Basketball staff for two years.  As the Graduate Assistant his primary responsibilities were assisting the staff with all on court coaching, helping in the organization of film breakdown and scouting reports, aiding the players with their time management (travel, practice, study hall, tutors, meetings etc.), supervising the student managers, as well as all day to day duties within the office. 

Pollock began his playing career at NAIA DI Berry College in Rome, Georgia.  As a defensive specialist, Pollock was 3rd in the country in steals as a Sophomore.  After playing two seasons for the Vikings he chose to transfer to Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia as a redshirt walk-on, with hopes to earn a scholarship after sitting out a season due to transferring.  Pollock earned a scholarship his Junior and Senior seasons as well as being named team captain his Senior year.  In the seventh game of his Senior year he suffered a career ending knee injury.

A native of Atlanta, Pollock graduated from Kennesaw State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management in ’09, and his Master’s Degree from TCU in ‘11.
