Introduction
The Central Arizona College International Studies Program was established to facilitate understanding between people and educational institutions through active exchange of students, faculty, and staff, as well as though the sharing of ideas and information. The program works under the assumption that education and learning does not and should not have boundries and borders.
Goals:
The following goals provide a roadmap and framework for how Central Arizona College plans to achieve the objectives of global competency and accomplish internationalization of teaching and learning.
--Development of exchange partnerships with foreign schools.
--Recruitment and retention of more foreign students.
--Development of internatioinal studies and exchange programs.
--Creation of service learning projects and courses in foreign countries.
--Use of technology to enhance collaborative international endeavors.
--Promotion of an international climate in the college.
--Maximum utilization of funding opportunities to support
internationalization activities.
--Promote community involvement and partnerships in the college's
international activities.
Exchange Opportunities:
Available for the spring semester of 2013:
--2 CAC exchange students to study in Brazil for the spring semester of 2013
--2 CAC exchange students to study in China for the spring semester of 2013
--1 CAC faculty member to travel to Brazil to teach for the spring semester of 2013
--1 CAC faculty member to travel to China to teach for the spring semester of 2013
