John Deere Construction & Forestry Equipment Technology Program

Program Description

The John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment Technology Program is a two-year program sponsored by the John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment Company, John Deere Equipment dealers, and Central Arizona College. The purpose of the program is to train incoming John Deere dealer service technicians in higher levels of technical competency and professional development.  Students must first acquire a sponsoring John Deere dealer before applying to CAC.  The college can assist you in finding a dealer and discuss tuition reimbursement and assistance.

Career Opportunities

A paid internship is provided to students during the summer between freshman and sophomore year.  After completing the John Deere program and earning an A.A.S. degree, students sign a contract and commit to working a minimum of two years for the sponsoring dealer.  The two-year program provides students with an Associate of Applied Science degree, and prepares students for future entry-level management positions at John Deere dealerships.
