|Business club - PBL/Collegiate DECA|
Join our Business Club. Expand your career and job development opportunities while here at CAC. All potential students are encouraged to enroll in our Blackboard club course shell found under "Club & Organizations" or attend one of our club meetings on Wednesdays at 3:45 pm in N113B on the SPC campus!
Click on the ENROLL NOW button in the Business Club Blackboard course shell to access club information, activities and receive announcements and e-mails (Bb > Course Catalog > Club and Organizations). You will unofficially be added to the Bb club roster. To officially become a member, you must submit your completed membership & scholarship forms and submit club dues. The activity scholarship may qualify you for membership dues if you pledge to maintain active participation (attending meetings; activities, competitions) and you maintain a 2.5 GPA.
2013-14 has been a busy year for the Business Club as we've attended six Competitive Collegiate Leadership Conferences including two State conferences, two fall leaderships and one winter leadership through both Collegiate DECA and Phi Beta Lambda. Our club has had the most attendees out of all the colleges and universities competing and had most competing members place at each conference. We've held two major fundraisers- in the fall a Tamale sale and the second in the spring to sell flowers on Valentine's Day. Two of our club members went to the DECA Collegiate Leadership Academy in New York City to broaden their networks in the International Business and Finance industry. The last event the Club will participate in is the International Career Development Conference in Washington D.C at the end of April. We are sending both advisors and eight members to compete nationally against other schools in the events they qualified at state this past February.
If you're interested in joining the club, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as we are always searching for more members to participate in the years to come.
The Career Exploration Workshop and Seminar will not be scheduled for Spring 2015.
The Business Club will be hosting monthly series of Business Career and Professional Development 'Workplace Workshops'. The workshops will be scheduled during one of the clubs bi-monthly meetings, Wednesdays from 3 pm - 4:30 pm. See below for list of upcoming workshops.
