Central Arizona College’s Communications Division, the largest division in the college, houses courses in reading, languages, writing, literature, and speech communication.

Creative Arts Division
Creative Arts Division includes five vibrant learning centers: theater, vocal music, instrumental music, studio art and art history, and digital imaging and media.

Dietetic Education
Dietetic Education & Culinary Arts offers several degree and certificate programs that can enhance job skills and increase employment possibilities. Our areas of expertise include specialty classes, niche markets and creative course designs. With over a 30 year history of innovations in food, nutrition, and culinary arts education, we are proud to offer our programs to 21st century students using learner centered approaches.

Early Care & Education Program
The Early Care and Education (ECE) Program at Central Arizona College is an excellent choice for anyone who is pursuing credit for the CDA credential, a Certificate of Completion in ECE, an Associates of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood or wants to begin a transfer pathway for their coursework towards a Bachelor’s Degree.

Education Division
Central Arizona’s Education Division offers many opportunities for study, including coursework in Elementary Education, Special Education, Secondary Education and Early Childhood Education that can lead to both certificates and degrees.

Engineering Technology Division
Agriculture, Drafting, CAD, AutoCAD, Diesel, Farm Business Management, Heavy Equipment, Welding, John Deere

Fire Science/Emergency Medical Technology
This department offers courses in Fire Science, Emergency Medical Technology and Hazardous Materials. An Associate of Applied Science Degree is available in Fire Science. Certificates of Completion are available in Basic Firefighter, Driver Operator, and Fire Officer.

Health Careers
Healthcare is one of the fastest growing professions in America today. In response to this growth, CAC developed the Allied Health Program in 1994. The program offers different specialties and will continue to add specialties as needed. Most specialties are for entry-level positions in the health field which have the potential for further advancement and have full benefits.

Math Division
Math courses of all levels, from developmental through advanced calculus, are offered to satisfy the requirements of all associate degrees and certificates. In addition, courses from MAT140-College Mathematics and above transfer to the state universities, as well as many universities outside of Arizona.

Police Academy
The Central Arizona Regional Law Officers Training Academy (CARLOTA) was first certified in 1973 by the Arizona Law Enforcement Officers Advisory Council, now Arizona POST. CARLOTA has since maintained its status as a regional training academy and has served over 88 different police agencies and trained over 2,400 officers since its inception.

Radiologic Technology
Radiologic Technology is a health care profession involving the use of ionizing radiation to generate diagnostic images in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Radiologic Technology course of study is a demanding experience and involves a full-time commitment of at least 40 hours per week plus homework.

Science Division
The Science Division at Central Arizona College provides a wide range of courses for students pursuing workforce development/vocational programs (teacher and nursing preparation) and academic education (science and engineering).
