Teresita Valdez, Host Program Coordinator
Teresita Valdez is the new Host Coordinator for CAC's International Exchange Program. She received her Bachelor's from Sonora, Mexico and earned her Master's in English as a Second Language (ESL) Education from Arizona State University. Her credentials include K-8 certification with a bilingual endorsement. As a 2008 Rodel Exemplary Teacher of the Year, she mentored six student teachers from ASU, UA, and NAU. Her professional experiences include teaching Spanish to high school students in Guam, teaching English as a Second Language to adults, and teaching Grades K-5 in Arizona. Her professional interests focus on multicultural education and family involvement. Mrs. Valdez and her family have hosted high school students from Sweden and Italy through the Foundation for Foreign Study. She is currently the Director of Family Outreach at the Eloy Elementary School District.
