PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - Central Arizona College invites the public to celebrate the exhibit of Arizona photographer Ray Carns' on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m., during a closing reception.
This relaxing event will be held at CAC's Visual Arts Gallery, which is in the M (Clock Tower) Building on the college's Signal Peak Campus, located between the cities of Coolidge and Casa Grande.
There is no cost to attend this event.
CAC's Visual Arts Gallery showcases professional artists throughout the year with a celebratory opening - or closing for shows scheduled during the summer months - for each exhibit.
These nights are hallmarks of the local art community and is a great opportunity to enjoy hors d'oeuvres prepared by CAC culinary arts students while indulging your senses. The hors d'oeuvres on the menu are three distinct kabobs: watermelon and feta, salami and cheddar and tomato and mozzarella.
Based in Phoenix, Carns has had his work on display across the country since 1992 in group and one- and two-person exhibitions, as well as private, museum and corporate collections. To depict his vision of the Western United States, Carns presents black-and-white and color photography either as straight prints or by manipulating the images through chemical or digital processes to achieve the desired effect he envisions for each image.
