CAC salutes veterans with campus tributes Nov. 8-10

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - To recognize the contributions and sacrifices of those who defend freedom, Central Arizona College will hold a series of late-morning celebratory events to honor veterans of the armed forces.
The Veterans Days Series will commence on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Superstition Mountain Campus with similar events scheduled for the Aravaipa Campus on Nov. 9 and the Signal Peak Campus on Nov. 10. Each event will feature the Presentation of Colors, singing of the National Anthem, special words of thanks, guest speakers and light snacks.
"Each year the CAC family takes time to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our great nation through military service," Luis Sanchez, CAC's director of admissions & recruitment, explained. "These events our open to everyone and are our way of supporting the many men and women who put forth their lives to defend our freedom."
The celebration on the Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Courtyard Area (near the flagpole). The Superstition Mountain Campus is located at 273 E. Old West Highway.
The event will move to the Aravaipa Campus on Wed. Nov. 9. The Aravaipa Campus is located at 80440 E. Aravaipa Rd., between the towns of Winkelman and Mammoth in Eastern Pinal County. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11 a.m. in the D Building.
The series will conclude on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. on the Signal Peak Campus located between the cities of Casa Grande and Coolidge at 8470 N. Overfield Road. The outdoor ceremony will take place at the Student Services Pavilion, located behind the Student Services Building (Building M, Clock Tower).
