APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. - For those new to the area or wishing to find people with whom they can share their interest in art, Central Arizona College's Lifelong Learners program is offering an Art Lab this summer at the college's Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction.
The lab will run every Friday starting June 3 and ending Sept. 2 from 9 a.m.-Noon. The cost of attending the lab is $35 for non-C.A.L.L. members. This is a no-cost for those with C.A.L.L. memberships.
Share your experience and techniques with other art enthusiasts by joining the art lab group. This group will meet every week to work on personal projects, to compare ideas, and to learn from others. Kittie McDermott, a C.A.L.L. instructor, will be on hand to guide students, answer questions and share ideas.
"Kitty McDermott excels as an art teacher because she reveals the master's secrets to us one lesson at a time," says Rev. Kate Spilman, one of her former students.
"What is really phenomenal is that Kitty always enjoys our perceptions of what we see without judgment of how we paint it. Without a doubt she is one of my favorite teachers at CAC."
