PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - Central Arizona College's Signal Peak Campus will be the location of the latest Rocktacular this Wednesday evening, Mar. 2, at 7 p.m.
The show will be held in the Don P. Pence Center for Visual & Performing Arts and is open to the public at no-cost.
The program, presented by CAC's Entertainment Industry Technology program, will feature four artists and one group who are pursuing AAS degrees in the newly-created popular music performance program.
This concert is part of the EIT 170 Performance Skills class that provides students a chance to sharpen their onstage performing skills. This marks the third performance of the year.
The solo artists who will be performing include Nicolas Manriquez and Alejandro Pelayo, both from Casa Grande, and Matt Butcher of Arizona City. The trio will be performing individually as vocal/acoustic guitar acts.
The band So Much for Serious hails from the city of Maricopa. Members include Luke Adamson (Guitar/Vocals), Jeremy Collazo (Bass) and Ryan Yap (Drums).
Each act will perform four to six tunes, including covers of pop/rock classics as well as original music.
A new addition to the Rocktacular shows are students from the Live Audio and Introduction to Lighting classes who will provide the technical support. These students are part of the live audio and lighting AAS degree program that trains students to become lighting designers, technicians, sound board operators and stage crew.
