EASTERN PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - Central Arizona College's Career & Job Fair returns to the Aravaipa Campus on Thursday Feb. 17, with a new identity.
Career Quest will be held in the gymnasium on the Aravaipa Campus from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. under a new format that gives participants an opportunity to demonstrate their area through hands-on activities or presentations. More than 150 students are expected to attend.
"The Career Quest program provides students the opportunity to speak with professionals from various careers while obtaining valuable information such as work tasks, required education, skill requirements, information about new trends in a specific field, and work-related challenges," Ann Mitchell, who directs the career and student employment services at CAC, explained. "It gives students a chance to network with individuals in their chosen field."
Career Quest is seeking professionals from various careers and industries to participate in the event, showcasing their line of work while also having an opportunity to network with students and other exhibitors.
Each exhibitor will be provided with an 8-foot by 30-inch table and two chairs. Electrical outlets are available but are limited. Larger accommodations are available upon request. There is no fee for the event. The deadline to register is Feb. 11.
"The insight, information and knowledge that exhibitors provide to students is an invaluable component for the success of this event," Mitchell explained. "We strongly encourage organizations to participate because it helps students find a career path while also serving as a recruiting tool for the organization."
