SADDLEBROOKE, Ariz. - Registration for Central Arizona College's 18th Annual East Valley Golf Tournament to benefit area students with scholarships is now underway through the institution's Aravaipa Campus.

The four-person shotgun scramble will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the Preserve Golf Club at SaddleBrooke. The cost of the event is $65 per person and includes green fees, cart and lunch following the 18-hole event. Registration will take place from 7-7:45 a.m.

Foursomes also may register for $260. The entry fee includes green fees, two golf carts and four lunches.

Proper golf attire is required. Collared shirts, slacks, or shorts of mid-thigh length are acceptable for the course. No denim or blue jeans, T-shirts or tank tops are permitted.

The Preserve Golf Club at SaddleBrooke is located at 66567 E. Catalina Hills Drive in SaddleBrooke, Ariz., just north of Tucson in Pinal County. The course covers 7,006 yards and is a par 72.

Prizes will be presented to the top foursomes during the post-tournament awards luncheon. Raffle prizes as well as contests such as the longest drive in the fairway, longest putt, and closest to the pin will offer additional excitement.

CAC's East Valley Golf Tournament is designed to enhance accessibility to higher education in Pinal County through scholarships. All net proceeds from the event are designated for a scholarship fund established to help Central Arizona College's incoming students.

The deadline to register for the tournament is Feb. 25, but participants are encouraged to register because tee times fill up quickly.
