CAC Health & Wellness Fair helping community avoid buying bulk quantities of medicine, tissues

COOLIDGE, Ariz. - Central Arizona College’s student nursing program will host a Health & Wellness Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Signal Peak Campus.
The event will run from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Room 101 of the Student Services Building (Building M, with the Clock Tower) and is open to the public at no cost.
The fair will include free medical screenings featuring checks of body fat percentage, cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar.
In addition, flu and pneumonia shots will be offered. These shots are free to anyone covered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. For all others, flu shots are priced at $30 and pneumonia shots cost $55.
Several well-known organizations will be participating in the event, including:
• Against Abuse
• American Cancer Society
• American Diabetes Association
• Banner Hospice
• Holistic Wellness
• Public Health Department
• Weight Watchers
In addition, representatives from fitness facilities, along with experienced individuals, will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
