College Experience Day 2010 scheduled for all three campuses during the month of April
PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - Central Arizona College is offering an opportunity for students to get a taste of higher education before leaving high school.
College Experience Day 2010 will be held at each of CAC’s three campuses during the month of April and is open to both potential students and family members. The events are scheduled on the following dates and the following locations:
Signal Peak Campus
Saturday, April 17 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
Wednesday, April 21 (5-7 p.m.)
Superstition Mountain Campus
Thursday, April 22 (5-7 p.m.)
“College Experience Day provides an opportunity for students to visit a Central Arizona College campus and obtain information on the educational opportunities the institution has to offer,” Luis Sanchez, CAC’s assistant director of recruitment, explained.
Individuals who attend will have the chance to meet with representatives from key areas of the college, including academic departments, admissions, advising and testing, athletics, campus living, campus safety, financial aid, and more.
The event will be hosted in an open-table format giving prospective students the chance to gather a variety of information from the many CAC representatives.
“The objective for College Experience Day is to provide an opportunity for students of the future to come onto campus and have direct interaction with the college staff,” Sanchez said. “It will present one of the best options for prospective students to get questions answered and become familiar with what the CAC experience is all about.”
Other events that will take place include campus tours, gift giveaways, light refreshments, and one lucky student of the future in attendance will win a Presidential Scholarship from CAC.
