Want free tickets to see a show at The Pence? CAC is recruiting volunteer ushers for 2008-09
October 27, 2008
PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Central Arizona College’s Community Events Office is recruiting community members who are interested in seeing great entertainment for free at the institution’s Don P. Pence Center for Visual and Performing Arts on the Signal Peak Campus.
How - simply volunteer to serve as an usher during the 2008-09 entertainment series.
“We have a great fall selection of shows at The Pence and really would like to get the community involved,” JJ Freyermuth, who is coordinating the community events, explained. “We need community volunteers to help serve as ushers during all of our productions. It really is a great way for people to see terrific shows while also becoming involved with their local community college.”
Volunteer ushers perform duties such as directing patrons, passing out programs and welcoming guests to The Pence. When the program begins, ushers then move into the theater where they have an opportunity to watch the show for free.
There are four more shows coming up during the remainder of the fall semester:
Nov. 12 – Central’s First Improv Invitational
Nov. 20 – All That Jazz & More Concert
Nov. 25 – CAC Community Wind Ensemble Concert
Dec. 5 – Yuletide Concert
All shows start at 7 p.m. and are just $5. CAC students are admitted free with an ID.
For more information on the shows, or to volunteer, please contact the Community Events Office by phone at 520-494-5223, or by e-mail at email@example.com.
