Central Arizona College schedules first of three forums surveying education needs of community
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – Central Arizona College has schedule the first of three community forums designed to help the college learn more about the future educational needs of Pinal County college students.
The forum is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12, and will be held in the Holiday Inn located at 777 North Pinal Ave. in Casa Grande. Community members are encouraged to attend and voice their educational needs to college staff.
Dennis Jenkins, Central Arizona College president/CEO, said the forums will help the college determine the need and timing of a future bond election. “We want to find out from the community what they desire in a college campus or center. Do we need additional programs or facilities? Do we need to provide service in other communities? We hope to determine this information through the three meetings set in May and June.”
With that information, Jenkins explained the college can formulate a plan to meet the needs that may include a bond election.
The college is planning meetings for the Maricopa and Apache Junction/Gold Canyon areas as well.
