Student Services extends hours at SPC, SMC

COOLIDGE, Ariz. – Central Arizona College will alter its hours to meet the needs of students preparing to take classes during the spring semester.

Beginning Jan. 5 and running through Jan. 18, Central’s Student Services on its Signal Peak and Superstition Mountain campuses will extend its hours to accommodate students needing help registering for class, completing financial aid forms or selecting a program.

On Saturday, Jan. 5, Orientation to College will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in Room M101 of the Student Services Center (Building M with the clock tower) on Central’s Signal Peak Campus.

Superstition Mountain Campus will hold its Orientation to College program on Saturday, Jan.12, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in Room 444.

On Monday, Jan. 7, Student Services will open its offices from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. allowing students who work fulltime during the day an opportunity to register in the early evening.

The extended hours also will be in place for Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 9-10.

On Tuesday, Jan. 8, Students Services will be open from 1-7 p.m. as Central’s faculty and staff head into the community for its annual service project event during the morning hours.

The college will operate under regular business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) on Friday, Jan. 11, but a special Saturday registration will take place Jan. 12, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Drop/Add Week will run from Jan. 14-18 with Student Services expanding its hours again from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The offices will close at its regular business time of 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18.

The spring semester will begin on Monday, Jan. 14, when classes begin at 8 a.m.

All of Central Arizona College’s nine campuses and centers will be closed for winter break beginning Dec. 24 through Jan. 1 and reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2. The district will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.
