50 students earn Phi Theta Kappa induction; Honors colloquium presentations begin today

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Fifty Central Arizona College students were rewarded for their excellence in the classroom on Thursday evening by being inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of the Two Year College.

The candlelight ceremony was held inside the Gloria R. Sheldon University Center on Central’s Signal Peak Campus.

Phi Theta Kappa recognizes and encourages the academic achievement of two-year college students and provides opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

The convocation and induction also featured a pinning ceremony recognizing honors students completing colloquium projects this year. The presentations will take place April 21-26 at the Signal Peak Campus and Central’s Corporate Center in Casa Grande and are open to the public.
