Special advising, registration & orientation hours begin Aug. 6 at Superstition Mountain
(This release is the fourth in an ongoing series on Central Arizona College’s commitment to serving the community through education, strong fiscal management, community needs and environmental awareness.)
APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. – The Old West Highway in Apache Junction will be scurrying with activity as Central Arizona College’s Superstition Mountain Campus braces for the rush of students needing help with starting a new semester.
Beginning August 6 and running through December 5, Central’s Student Services at Superstition Mountain will extend its hours to accommodate students needing help with registration, advisement, orientation and class schedules.
From Monday through Thursday, August 6-9, advising and registration will take place from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on the campus, while on Wednesday evening, August 8, a special orientation session will take place from 4-7 p.m. for new students. The campus is closed on Friday, August 10.
During the week preceding the start of classes, August 13-17, advising and registration will take place from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with hours extended to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 16.
Another orientation will take place on Saturday morning, August 18, from 9-11 a.m. at Superstition Mountain, while late registration will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the campus.
The new fall semester will begin on August 20 with expanded hours for students during the Drop/Add Period. Student Services will be open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, August 20-23. On Friday, August 24, Drop/Add will run during standard business hours from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Advising and registration will take place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. from August 29 through December 5. There will be no advising or registration on Wednesday, November 21 (the day preceding Thanksgiving) and Thursday, November 22 (Thanksgiving Day).
