Create great connections by dialing up Central Arizona College’s C.A.L.L. program

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – The Central Arizona College Lifelong Learner’s (C.A.L.L.) program has a full slate of activities scheduled this fall as it expands its reach throughout Pinal County.

“C.A.L.L. is an enrichment program for adult learners of any age without regard to previous education,” Vera Walters, the program’s coordinator, said. “C.A.L.L. provides its members with a variety of informal, low-cost, high-quality classes, study groups and field trips.”

Types of programs offered by C.A.L.L. include trips to see productions at the Gammage Auditorium and Dodge Theatre; a variety of arts and crafts enrichment classes; informative law enforcement programs such as Victims’ Rights and Crime Scene Investigation; and Living in Arizona programs that teach Spanish, gardening tips or about the annual monsoon season.

Additional programs include The World of Birds Series with noted ornithology expert Vera Walters, and The Sonoran Desert featuring indigenous animals of the region.

With an unwavering commitment to serving the citizens of Pinal County and the East Valley, anyone can join the C.A.L.L. program for just an $89 annual membership fee – an unbelievable bargain that entitles participants one year of unlimited classes from the date of registration.

Some classes have additional fees for supplies, transportation or admission, while those who have not joined C.A.L.L. are welcome to experience the same exciting atmosphere and camaraderie by paying the non-member fee for each event.

Member Benefits include:

  • Low-cost learning experiences
  • Casual learning environment without grades or tests
  • Opportunities to meet new people
  • Central Arizona College student ID card
  • Use of any Central Arizona College library or computer center
  • 10% discount on student massages offered at Superstition Mountain and Signal Peak campuses (Call 480-677-7759 for more information)

Disability Accommodation

In compliance with federal, state and local laws, Central Arizona College seeks to provide reasonable accommodation for all qualified individuals with disabilities. Participants are requested to notify Vera Walters (480-677-7707 / vera.walters@centralaz.edu) at least two weeks prior to the start of class so appropriate accommodations can be made.

Transportation

Many C.A.L.L. classes utilize "carpooling" as a way to travel to a class location. There are typically two departure points – Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction and the Central Arizona College Corporate Center on I-10 in Casa Grande.

Carpooling is not organized by the C.A.L.L. staff - participants simply show up at the site and organize themselves into groups. Drivers or carpool organizers are requested to be visible at departure points wearing C.A.L.L. name tags and standing outside of the vehicle.
