The Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange
Founded in 1994, The Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange (CSRDE) is a group of two and four year institutions interested in sharing data on retention and graduation rates. The annual surveys collect data based on starting IPEDS fall enrollment cohorts but track students longer, currently out to seven years. In addition, breakout cohorts include race/ethnicity, gender, and remedial status. While similar data is available through IPEDS it does not provide the level of detail or the ease of making peer group comparisons.
The National Community College Benchmark Project
The National Community College Benchmark Project (NCCBP) is a data-sharing consortium that provides participating institutions with comparative data on a number of performance and outcome measures for benchmarking. Since each individual college measure is compared with all institutions, percentile ranks are generated which are crucial for goal achievement in planning and for institutional effectiveness.
