Coolidge Center
The Coolidge Training and Assessment Center (CTAC) was established in December 2005 as a direct result of a Hispanic Serving Institutions Assisting Communities (HSIAC) Grant presented to Central Arizona College. This three-year grant was awarded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The current center has transitioned from a grant based operation to a fully functional educational center of Central Arizona College.
Located 9 miles east of Signal Peak Campus, in the heart of downtown Coolidge, the center serves as a bridge to the campus. Students at the Coolidge Center can apply for admission, take the placement tests (ASSET tests), meet with an advisor regarding academic goals, and register for classes. The center also features an open computer lab where students can work on their assignments or access online tutoring, as well as where members of the local community can use the web to search for employment.
Other services offered at the Coolidge Center include:
- Registration for GED and ESL classes
- WorkKeys Assessments
- International Building Code classes for residential and commercial building inspectors
- Job search in Pinal County through the Department of Economic Security (DES)
- Notary Service
